<p>What you do need to be concerned about is getting enough vitamin B12, iron, and omega-3.</p>
<h2><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Vitamin B12</span></h2>
<p>Insufficient B12 intakes can cause anemia, nervous system damage, and increase potential risk of heart disease or pregnancy complications.</p>
<p>Whether in supplements, fortified foods, or animal products, B12 comes from micro-organisms.   To get the full benefit of a vegan diet, vegans should do the followings:</p>
<ul>
<li>Eat fortified foods two or three times daily to get at least three mcg of B12 daily.  Vegan sources of B12 include brewer&#8217;s yeast; sea vegetables, such as dulse, kelp, and nori; foods fortified with B12 (including some plant milks, some soy products, and some breakfast cereals), and B12 supplements.</li>

<li>Take supplement daily that provides at least 10 mcg of B12.</li>

<p>As B12 is best absorbed in small amounts, it is recommended to obtain B12 on a daily basic.   There is no harm in exceeding the recommended amounts or combining more than one option.</p>

<h2><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Essential Fatty Acids</span></h2>
<p>The main components of all fats are the fatty acids. Essential fatty acids are polyunsaturated fats that the body cannot make.  Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA, a.k.a., LNA) is an omega-3 fatty acid found in flaxseeds, hemp seeds, walnuts, soybeans, and some leafy green vegetables and plant foods.  Omega-3 is very important in preventing heart disease, improve joint flexibility and reduce body inflammation.</p>
<p>On the other hand, Linoleic acid (LA) is an omega-6 fatty acid found in plant foods and vegetable oils.</p>
<p>To make sure you&#8217;re getting plenty of healthy fats in your diet, eat one (1) teaspoon of flax seed <em>oil</em> (alone or mixed into salad dressings, etc.) or four to five (4 – 5) teaspoons of <em>ground</em> flaxseeds each day. (Be sure to store flax products in the refrigerator and never cook the oil.) You should also replace your &#8220;vegetable&#8221; oil or corn oil with olive oil or canola oil.</p>
<p>Omega-6 and Omega-3 intake must be balance; otherwise it will lead to prolong inflammation which is one of the causes to some chronic diseases.   Because vegans and vegetarians get plenty of omega-6 fatty acids in their natural diet, it is very important for you to get enough omega-3 acids in your diet to balance the two.  Therefore an omega-3 supplement is extremely important to vegans and vegetarians.</p>

So avoid coffee and tea which block iron absorption; instead eat or drink more vitamin C (during the same meal in which you eat iron), which helps iron absorption</p>

* Use cell phone microwave radiation protection device which can absorb the harmful electromagnetic energy waves from your mobile phone.</p>
<p>* Always use  a mobile headset. Try to avoid holding your phone next to your ears and never use the phone placing it between your head and shoulder.</p>
<p>* Use a hands free mobile car kit while driving, without taking your hands off the steering wheel</p>
<p>* Avoid using cell phone inside a lift or where receiving signal is weak.  Because when the receiving signal is weak, the radiation of the phone gets much stronger</p>
<p>* Put the mobile phone inside your bag when idle.  Do not clip it on your waist belt and in the pocket inside your jacket.  Even in the idle time, the phone is still stand by for receiving wave and there still has emission.   Clipping it close to your waist and heart is hazardous to your inside organs.</p>
<p>* Do not use mobile phones in Intensive Care Units of hospitals for obvious reason to avoid posing danger to patients by interfering with the working of pacemakers and defibrillators.</p>

<p>That is the other side of the story: oxidizing stress.  Assuming you have normal cholesterol, they will still filter through the blood vessel wall, get inside and oxidize, releasing free radicals and damage these layers.  Once these layers are damaged, more cholesterol will get in and eventually form plagues inside the blood vessel.   And you know the rest of the story.</p>
<p>Therefore the final common pathway for the cholesterol plagues forming is the antioxidants.  If you have enough antioxidants to neutralize the free radicals and save the blood vessel wall from damage.</p>
